Did you know, many schools use much of their energy when closed to pupils?
Energy Sparks recommends completing a brief energy audit before school holidays, to check with the school site manager or caretaker what can be turned off.
Electrical appliances such as photocopiers, smart boards, projectors and items like water coolers, fridges, freezers and hot water urns can usually be switched off when the building is not in use.
Energy Sparks recommend running a ‘Switch Off’ campaign to take action on holiday energy waste. Find out more here.
